What ever happened to Pixie Van Dimple, Lil Red Hood and Swombiewolf? Not forgetting Psychedelic Gran, Grace? Well peeps the thing is that with all you guys spending so much time on your phones, book sales have dropped meaning that reading books is not as ‘interesting’ as it was and Pixie Van Dimple’s dreams of being an international star in the literary world have stalled!
Her 2 books Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Intelligence and Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Plastic, which are both epic and deliver super important messages in the stories about our online lives and the ‘plastic pollution’ problem, with Pixie championing Circularity! are no longer being published by our publisher. A sad state of affairs! Big mistake Publisher….BIG mistake ! You can’t keep Pixie out of the headlines.. come on peeps you can save her, and all those fabulous BOOKS out there. All you need to do is pick one up and have a go!
While we look into kickstarting the republication of these books and getting Pixie back into circulation, nothing will stop us continuing to write stories and creating new characters for Pixie to interact with and have adventures with – probably getting into more trouble to then have to sort out! That is typical Pixie, but hey, things always work out in the end and we all learn something on the way!
Talking of new characters, we need to create some boy characters and other fun characters to add to Pixie’s gang! More stories from you guys .. remember the fantastic Penelope Horsatia Beanzs written by some very creative girls from our local Primary School? Brilliant!
We need to hear more of these stories written and created by you – have a think and see what you can come up with and we will publish the stories on our website. Just email them to us: pixie@lynn-mcallister.com

Tell Pixie and I too about what you have been doing and if you have been redeeming yourselves by reading any amazing books! Whether you have read any fiction books or non fiction, listened to an audiobook, flicked through a comic book, picture book or a magazine, it all counts. After all it is the National Year of Reading this year! Remember, when you read a story your brain does a wondrous thing like firing up your imagination – now that is worth it.. you never know where your own thoughts will take you and we cannot wait to find out.
Remember you can support us authors and practice your reading in your local library or go to a charity shop where you can find preloved books too.
Remember Pixie’s rallying call ‘Repeat the mantra and follow the drill, Reduce, Reuse Recycle, Refill, Circularity is top of the bill’! – donating books you have read to a charity shop will give others a chance to read them, keeping them in circulation and out of the trash!

Big Bad Wolf, now in the guise of Swombiewolf with co-conspirators Hackwit and Arch Inemie, is still at large trying to manipulate children’s brains and Pixie Van Dimple is the only one who can stop them all infiltrating our networks and destroying the world as we know it….aaaarrrrggghhhhhhh! Pixie! Where are youuuuuuuuu………?????? She is an expert in Cybersecurity now you know!

This is Pixie before her new Bixie haircut! Always full of energy and with red cape flapping, you can totally rely on her to be there to save the day… and be the best friend ever! Yay!
