Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Wind

Lynn McAllister

Should I gobble it up?

thought Pixie Van Dimple?

Who’s going to know ?

Do I REALLY care?

Just a minuscule (adjective: small, tiny) mouthful of milky chocolate

Cannot cataclysmically TRANSFORM ME into an  ‘evil saboteur’?

Can’t make me a really bad person!!!

 Cataclysmically, adverb

Means in a violently destructive manner, which is a disaster obviously!

Saboteur, noun

Means someone who destroys something on purpose (like maybe your brother or sister!)

So with gusto she lobbed it emphatically onto her tongue

So she threw it dramatically into her mouth

Devouring expressively as her brain exclaimed ‘This is soooo wrong!

Gobbling it up excitedly thinking ‘This is really bad!’

Emphatically, adverb:

You really mean it!

Devouring, verb:

Eating greedily, yum yum!

There were unfortunate consequences of flatulent despair

Pixie Van Dimple could not stop herself from farting!

As the results of potent gaseous emissions filled the air

As the farty smell wafted about the place!

With a stench so gross and an expulsion of purple gas

With a gross smell and a cloud of purple farty gas

It was impossible to hide the misdemeanor, alas!

It was impossible to hide the evidence unfortunately!

Flatulent, adjective well means gassy or farty!

Misdemeanor, noun a bit of wrongdoing, in this case a rather large one!

An unimaginable embarrassment engulfed poor Pixie Van Dimple

Pixie van Dimple was well embarassed!

Instantly she was a villified subject of ignominy

In a flash Pixie Van Dimple was hated by EVERYONE!

Everyone round and about caught a whiff of the vapour

Everyone could smell the disgusting smell!

If not in whiffing distance the purple farty fog rose visibly

If you could not smell the fart then you could see purple gas wafting in the air!

‘A villified subject of ignominy’ – a marvellous bundle of words meaning that no-one wanted to be seen dead with poor Pixie Van Dimple, or say they even knew her, she was such a DORK!

Condemnation blazed from them, not to mention rancour

Everyone was very judgemental and it got kind of nasty!

Judgemental mumblings quickly amplified to a riotous ‘Take her away!’

People started muttering and then shouting for poor Pixie Van Dimple to be taken away and locked up! (not very nice!)

Rancour, noun – nastiness, meanness, spite

She knew she had made a BAD choice this time

She knew she had committed an abominable crime

She knew that the rules had been made by convention

For the future of MANKIND and pollution prevention!

Convention, noun – agreement, pact, important people had decided how things should be done!

How did it come to this Pixie Van Dimple?

It was the sugar you see, you had eaten too much!

That last chunk of chocolate tipped you over the edge!

You know the perils of too many sweets & chocolate & sugary fudge!

You should have scoffed heartily on FRUIT and NUTS, and lovely fresh VEG!

Nibbled UNIMPEACHABLY on pulses! wholegrains!

Unimpeachably, adverb

Means without question, you are positively encouraged to do this…

do not forget!!!!

Educate yourself on healthy food Pixie Van Dimple

For the message you see is so very simple

In order to breathe easily in this world and keep the Earth clean

We need to make sure that our farts are not PURPLE but GREEN 🙂

Whatever became of poor Pixie Van Dimple?

Did the Authorities take umbrage and lock her away?

Were those in charge get really upset and lock poor Pixie Van Dimple up ?

It was serious stuff this sugar consumption

Causing all manners of issues endemic to the society of today

Causing lots of health issues now affecting so many children (and grownups!) these days!

Pixie was let off (no! not a pun!) her error of judgement and lack of control

Because lessons were learnt when she heard the raging sirens of Purple Gas Control

That was enough to cause irreparable dismay

Pixie Van Dimple was really disappointed with herself!

She decided there and then her mission was clear, as they say

She would make it her quest to stand tall: to lead the Revolution

To search high and low for a global solution!

Can you help Pixie lead the revolution on the fight against sugar, and seek out healthy food choices???
