Pixie Van Dimple’s (Smartphone) explodes on to the scene!

When my first children’s book Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Artificial Intelligence was published in March 2020, I created this video using a mobile app!

It was great fun experimenting with animation and editing – here I am transforming magically into .. dah dah!! yes… Pixie Van Dimple!

I wanted to create an impact when I went into schools to promote the books by dressing up as the character – the children would certainly remember me and Pixie Van Dimple! I am all about fun and telling a story with a great big dollop of humour, as well as conveying an important and serious message.

And every World Book Day, I have a ready made costume to hand!

Back to the video, which is definitely causing a few sparks to fly!…..

Marketing a book is a full time job I have discovered and requires imagination and stealth to keep up the momentum to gain exposure.

Nowadays, people expect a lot from posts as we are inundated 24/7 by media – what would you do to grab attention?
